Hello friends,

It has been ages since I have posted here and out of my severe boredom I figure I’ll post something. I currently subscribe to a monthly playlist on Blalocks Indie Rock Playlist and I must say it is pretty awesome. It is usually made up of 110 songs or so that most people have never heard of. http://www.birp.fm/ Take a look and I am sure you will like what you find.

If you’ve been living under a rock for the last 48 hours (or don’t obsessively follow facebook newfeeds) then you probably haven’t heard the great news. I’d like to officially congratulate one of the O. G. members of Rated ‘N’ on his acceptance into USC’s Pharmacy school. Who is it? *Drum roll, please* The one, the only….Calvin ‘Coming to a Pharmacy Near You” Chen! I saw the news earlier today on his status and couldn’t be happier for him. Way to go, Calvin. All the blood, sweat, and tears finally paid off huh? Last I checked, USC is ranked in the top 15 in the nation which pretty much means he’ll be getting paper, and making people make a year in two days. Now he can upgrade from ‘calvineatsricelolx’ to ‘calvineatswhateverhewantslolx’.

Gonna start bloggin’ again.

It’s been a lonnnng time since I’ve posted something. That is fact. I was just looking over some old posts and I realized how much (or how little) I’ve changed over the years in terms of how I think and how I write. It was fun just being able to go through my history and see myself objectively (if that’s every possible) or at least in a different time frame that gives me perspective. SOO with that said, I’m going to be posting about my thoughts, events, updates, and anything else I think that is worth sharing with the readers (who reads these posts anyway?) <

A quick update on my life. I’m in the 3rd year of studying Biochemistry at UCLA. Applications for pharmacy school start this summer but I’ll be applying next cycle and taking those couple months off. Not sure if that’s a good idea but that’s the plan. Right now I’m looking at graduating in 4 yrs and 1 qtr. I don’t know how that happened, honestly. The past couple of quarters have been just loading up on classes so I can get out of here. I’m still single (ladies?) and enjoying myself. I still love tennis and other sports. Recently got a little better at golf after going to the range 3 or 4 times in my life. Last time I played 18 holes I averaged a bogey (or double bogey) on par 54 course in Long Beach.

I think that’s enough for now. I have a lab practical tomorrow that I should’ve been preparing for instead of writing this but it’s a good thing I have my priorities straight, right? haha.

…when I came across something known as “Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills”. Apparently this was a real show with real actors, on a real TV network, with a real bad theme song. Well, naturally, it was created in the wake of the popularity of the original Power Rangers, but unlike VR Troopers, BeetleBorgs, etc., I’ve never seen it.

It aired about the same time as the power rangers, but man, it looks fuh-reaking terrible. Apaprently, to defeat monsters, one must do cheerleader like jump splits with one’s back turned towards the monster in or around the monster’s general vicinity. Seeing bullcrap like this makes me remember how bomb Power Rangers really was.

Chris Brown New Abuse Scandal

Chris Brown was seen at the beach this past weekend, seen by many in the midst of what appeared to be a violent confrontation with an unknown female companion. Rated ‘N’ for Nasty has the exclusive pictures and a transcript of what was said during the altercation between Mr. Brown and the alleged victim. Warning, the following contains pervasive language.

Brown:Get off me byetch! Hmph! [he throws her violently into the water] I’m at the beach betch!”

Our Interpretations Film Contest Entry

Well it took 2 months, but we finally finished our 2minute, 48 second film which we hastily titled “Friday Night.” Although for the most part, we weren’t able to achieve all we wanted from the original script, I think that we did a solid job for our first attempt given that we had pretty much no resources aside from Johnseth’s camera.

After watching it, you’d probably wonder we undertook this story or this tone – it’s not really like anything I or anyone involved in it would normally make. Well there are four lines of dialogue that we were mandated to use, verbatim, in the order presented. That effed up or shiz real quick.
It’s not something I’d Do
Well?
It’s not what I expected.
You sure?
The first thing that came to our head was drugs. So we ran with it. Johnseth was initially gonna be heavily involved but he had shiznitch come up.
